The company was founded in 1977 under the name Ingenieurbüro Böning. In 1996 the legal form was changed to Ingenieurbüro Böning GmbH, and again in 2003 to Böning Automationstechnologie GmbH & Co.KG. From the outset, activities have concentrated on the development and manufacture of devices and equipment for automation on board ships. Over the course of time the production and administrative premises have grown to an area encompassing about 2,500 m². Employees now include more than 20 engineers occupied in hardware and software development and over 90 specialists engaged in production, sales, procurement and administration.
